Work Backwards From the Install Date

Custom production runs 3 to 4 months at the factory, and ocean transit adds roughly 4 weeks to the West Coast or 5 to 6 weeks to the East Coast. If pottery is going in at the end of a project, the order usually needs to be placed 4-5 months ahead of the date on the schedule.

When working with Vietnamese pottery factories, businesses nationwide shut down for Tet in late January or February, so orders placed within that time frame must take holiday breaks into account.

If the schedule is tighter than that, then our ready-to-ship stock would be a recommended solution for shorter timelines.

Benefit From Buying Direct

Cost - TT Pottery ships containers directly from the factory to your business doorstep, keeping costs as low as possible for businesses by avoiding the unnecessary costs from buying through a middleman, such as warehouse costs, middleman fees, and transportation costs.

Variety - TT Pottery's direct factory production allows any style to be produced with any color in our catalog, rather than choosing from someone else's stock list. We can also make custom molds for your unique spec with only a picture and dimensions, as long as quantity is sufficient.

How a Project Order Runs

1

Browse our catalog, find your selection

Dimensions, quantities, finish, and when it has to be on site. A drawing or a photo of something similar is also enough to start.

2

We send your price

We send a quote for your order's landed cost, pots with shipping + duty accounted for. You pay the initial 50% deposit by bank transfer or check. Cards are fine on smaller amounts, though they carry a processing fee.

3

We produce, import, and deliver

We take care of production, quality checks, customs paperwork, and ocean freight. We keep the process simple for you while being transparent.

4

Receive your container

Once your remaining 50% is paid, you take delivery of your order to your project site or storage

Common Project Questions

What is the MOQ (Minimum Order Quantity)?

We ship by the container, so one 40ft container with around 20-22 pallets is the typical order size. What's flexible is the assortment inside it, and our industry-leading minimum is just 6 sets per style per color. If the project needs less than a container, say so, and we'll point you to pallet quantities through our sister company Ten Thousand Pots.

Can you fulfill the container by my target date?

Tell us the date first, and we'll work backwards from it. Custom production runs 3 to 4 months plus ocean transit, so if the date can't absorb that, ready-to-ship stock is the honest answer. It's always recommended to provide a cushion for your order due to the complicated (and sometimes unexpectedly lengthy) processes from shipping.

Do we need to know anything about importing?

No. We're the importer of record, so customs, duties, paperwork, and freight are handled on our side, and you're buying from a US company on US terms.

What does the site need to take delivery?

A forklift, pallet jack, a driver, and one or two people helping, plus room for the semi-truck. We'll go through it with you before the first delivery so nothing turns into a problem on the day.

What happens if something arrives broken?

Ceramic ships with a breakage allowance as standard across the industry, and we carry coverage beyond it. Exact terms come with your quote, so there's nothing to discover afterwards.
